McDonald’s El Salvador is the first NXTGEN Store in Northern Mindanao, located at El Salvador, Misamis Oriental. You won’t miss it because their location is just beside the road to Divine Mercy Shrine. Aside from they are the first NXTGEN store here (Northern Mindanao), they are also the first in having a SELF-ORDERING KIOSKS in the whole Northern Mindanao.
What’s a NextGen Store?
NXTGEN is a new store format equipped with a multi-point service system that enables a fast, convenient, and seamless experience. Filipinos can now enjoy the best of the McDonald’s experience from around the world. The NxtGen store offers customers a modern industrial design, a McCafé, and the new service platform featuring innovations that have been previously rolled out internationally: self-ordering kiosks that allow cashless payments, split counters for ordering and claiming, and Guest Experience Leaders — highly trained crew members specifically tasked to entertain the needs of the customers and acquaint them with the NXTGEN experience. The McDonald’s El Salvador NXTGEN store’s interiors are modern and I love the new look! The mixture of colors is not so bright and I find it cool on my eyes.
What’s a Self-Ordering Kiosk?
The self-ordering kiosks accept card (Visa and Mastercard) payments. Anyone can skip the front counter line and order on the big touchscreens and pay for their meals. After completing the transaction, customers wait for their number to be called at the claim counter to pick-up their order.
If a customer is going to pay in cash, he or she can still order at the self-ordering kiosk and pay on the dedicated lane, wait for the number to be called and pick-up the order.
The first time I saw the self-ordering kiosk, I was amazed! It was just like ordering online but the difference is that you do the ordering on a big screen! Easy to choose on the screen and you got the liberty to choose anything you want. If you change your mind on your orders, you can always go back and choose again. Amazeballs!
Honestly, I was amazed at the kiosk that I wished we have this Cagayan de Oro. The manager told us that McDonald’s has plans on making all their stores into NXTGEN stores and this plan will take time. These kiosks have been available overseas but it’s still new here in the Philippines. Hopefully, McDonald’s Cagayan de Oro will also have their own in the future.
